Applications are invited for the 2017 Youth Ambassadors Program. Six students between the ages 15-18 years will be selected to participate in the three week exchange program from August 7-28 in the U.S. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State and implemented by the U.S. Embassy. This year World Learning will host Caribbean participants. The deadline for applications is midnight April 9.
The program involves skills based training, interaction with youths from other countries and engagement with government and non-governmental organizations. The theme of this year’s program is social transformation. On returning to Trinidad and Tobago, the candidates will embark on a community project under the guidance of a mentor.
Applicants must be a citizen of T&T attending a secondary school. They must have an outstanding school record, and display leadership skills with a keen interest in community work.
