Visit of U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Caribbean Affairs and Haiti to T&T March 27-29
Barbara A. Feinstein, the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State (DAS) for Caribbean Affairs and Haiti, visited Trinidad and Tobago from March 27-29. Her visit underscores the strong bilateral relations between the United States and Trinidad and Tobago. DAS Feinstein and Chargé d’Affaires Shante Moore met with Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs Dr. Amery Browne, Minister of Energy and Energy Industries Stuart Young, Minister of National Security Fitzgerald Hinds, members of the Opposition United National Congress, representatives from the American Chamber of Industry and Commerce Trinidad and Tobago, the Caribbean Public Health Agency, and civil society leaders working with Venezuelan refugees and migrants. DAS Feinstein also met with representatives of the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago, and visited the facilities of the Phoenix Park Gas Processors Limited, and U.S. subsidiary Nu-Iron at Point Lisas.
