The U.S. Commercial Service’s Caribbean Trade Mission took place last week from May 9-11. Representatives of eight U.S. companies traveled to Trinidad and Tobago for meetings with potential business partners arranged by the Economic and Political Officer Matthew Ciesielski and the economic section, with assistance from The American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago. The embassy hosted six of the companies on May 9 at the Hyatt Regency for meetings. On May 11 the remaining two companies visited potential local partners throughout the island.
Senator the Honorable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry gave the welcome address at the opening ceremony, along with Deputy Chief of Mission Dexter Payne and AMCHAM Chief Executive Officer Nirad Tewarie who gave opening remarks.
