Follow these steps to APPLY/RENEW a passport! (CLICK ON EACH STEP BELOW FOR DETAILS)

Please note:

  1. All applicants for U.S. passports must apply in person at the US Embassy.
  2. During your appointment, the Consular Officer reserves the right to ask for additional documentation to support a passport application
  3. If you have not received your passport in 3 weeks and wish to know the status of your passport, please send an email to acspos@state.gov. Please provide your full name, and Date of Birth.
  4. You have 90 calendar days from the submission of your application to complete the process, if you do not have the required documentation at the time of your appointment.
  5. For children under the age of 16 read thoroughly the instructions for Parental Consent when filling out the application form. If one parent is not present, refer to the ** Evidence of Parental Consent below. In addition, please read the following instructions: If the last previous passport shows a picture of an infant/toddler you must present Facial progression photographs from the time the previous passport was issued to the present. Provide approximately one photograph for every 6-8 months. These photographs create a pictorial timeline which is critical in establishing the child’s facial identity from infancy to his/her current age. If any parent’s name on the child’s birth certificate is not the same as your present Photo ID e.g. your current valid passport, you will need to provide the document recording the name change e.g. an electronic marriage certificate or deed poll.
  6. Note Box No. 5 on the application form: Social Security Number (SSN) is mandatory field. What if I don’t have a SSN?
