Five TTPS officers with Deputy Chief of Mission John W. McIntyre and Embassy INL representatives

As the U.S continues to assist Trinidad and Tobago in the fight against crime, five police officers from theTrinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Homicide Bureau and Special Evidence Recovery Unit will embed with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBCSO) in Florida for two days next week, for hands on experience on how the PBSCO carries out homicide investigations. The TTPS officers will also attend a conference on homicide investigations and the latest trends in forensic evidence. Earlier today the TTPS officers paid a courtesy call on Deputy Chief of Mission John W. McIntyre at the U.S. Embassy, where they spoke about their excitement for the opportunity. This is a follow up to a June training in Port of Spain by PBCSO detectives with the TTPS Homicide Bureau.
