The U.S. Embassy awarded 2023 Fulbright scholarships to a new cohort of Trinidad and Tobago scholars. The United States Department of State funds the graduate-level programs for the scholars in various fields at universities in the United States.

At a pre-departure orientation on July 21 at the U.S. Embassy, U.S. Ambassador Candace Bond congratulated the awardees. “Fulbright is the United States government’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship, so let this serve as a testament to your intelligence, passion for learning, and curious minds,” she said. Ambassador Bond encouraged the outgoing scholars to take advantage of the many opportunities their host U.S. universities will offer. “As you prepare for your journey, my advice is to embrace the unknown and never underestimate the impact you can make,” she said.

Nadia Tewarie: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Hubert Humphrey Fellowship in Urban and Regional Planning
