Sport Caravan ends on high note

A member of the CA team explains the rules of American football

The U.S. Embassy Civil Affairs and Public Affairs teams worked closely with the Mayor’s office of the Chaguanas Borough Corporation over four consecutive Saturday’s from June 23 to July 14 to host a Sports Caravan at the Enterprise, Pierre Road, Edinburgh and Esmeralda Recreation Grounds in Chaguanas for children 5-14 years. Children participated in Trinidad favorites soccer and cricket and were introduced to American past times including football and ultimate fisbee. The Sports Caravans are part of the Embassy’s CVE strategy to engage youth in at risk communities and encourage them to seek positive alternatives.
