August 17, 2015: The U.S. Embassy Port of Spain supported the visit of three American Spoken Word artists to participate in the Cascadoo Caribbean New Voices International Festival of Spoken Word 2015, August 10-15.

The program coincided with International Youth Day and focused on outreach to at-risk youth.

The American artists, Malcolm London and Marshall Davis Jones, as well as Syrian-American Amal Kassir, engaged with young people at youth detention facilities and made numerous television appearances, spreading their message of justice, tolerance, and human rights.
