On April 26, U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Shante Moore delivered remarks as The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago officially launched the Resilient Heritage Research Program, funded by a U.S. Embassy grant under the Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation at Mille Fluers, Port of Spain.  The National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago is collaborating with the University of Florida Historic Preservation Program for a two-phase initiative to advance the resilience and long-term preservation of Trinidad and Tobago’s historic sites that are impacted by climate change and sea level rise. Minister of Planning and Development Penelope Beckles was also in attendance.
