Port of Spain June 18, 2015: Eight members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service/INTERPOL were presented with awards from the United States Marshal’s Service and the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service and the U.S. Embassy for their outstanding and continuing efforts in the location, apprehension, and extradition of fugitives attempting to evade justice in the United States.

The officers led by Ag. Sgt. Herman Narace, recently arrested fugitives for offenses ranging from murder and sexual assault to firearms and financial crimes.  Their dedication and service has positively contributed to a safer United States and Trinidad and Tobago.

At the brief ceremony on June 18, 2015 at the Embassy, Chargé d’Affaires Margaret B. Diop presented the officers with their awards and congratulated them on their achievements.   Also present at the ceremony were senior representatives from the Diplomatic Security Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
