Message for U.S. Citizens
March 29, 2020
Location: Trinidad and Tobago
Event: The U.S. Embassy advises Americans in Trinidad and Tobago who wish to return to the United States of a charter flight scheduled to depart Port of Spain for Miami on Wednesday, April 1 at noon. Tickets may be purchased by calling the booking agency directly at +1 (603) 929 9300 or by sending an e-mail to ClientServices@PJSGroup.com . Please note: as this is a charter flight, the cost of a ticket will be substantially higher than typical commercial fares.
Seats on the flight remain available, and we encourage anyone wishing to return to the United States to take advantage of this option. The U.S. Embassy does not know when regularly scheduled commercial flights to the United States will resume. At this time there are no other flights being scheduled to the United States or elsewhere. Those who do not travel on this flight should be prepared to remain in Trinidad and Tobago until regular commercial flights are once again available.
After calling or emailing to express interest in the flight, customers should receive a secure link which opens a secure document for the traveler to input their details and payment information. Once the traveler submits this form (including payment details), the booking agency will send a short confirmation email to the traveler. After the booking agency has processed the information and payment, customers should receive a longer confirmation email with additional details.
Travelers are reminded that you must have valid travel documents to board this flight. Please check that you have a valid U.S. passport or valid foreign passport and U.S. Legal Permanent Resident card (green card). If you need assistance with emergency documentation please contact the embassy immediately at PortofSpainUSCitizen@state.gov or call 622-6371.
Note that if you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, coughing, sneezing or shortness of breath you will not be allowed to board the flight. Please do not come to the airport if you have any of these symptoms.
In observance of the Public Health Ordinance regulations taking effect midnight Sunday March 29th, ticketed passengers traveling to the airport by road or coming from Tobago for the Wednesday April 1, 2020 flight should carry a printed or electronic copy of their ticket confirmation email.
For more details on the flight, please go to our embassy web page: Special Flight Leaving Trinidad to the United States on Wednesday April 1, 2020.
