Flight Cancellation from Port of Spain to John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) on December 16th, 2020
December 16, 2020

Event: The U.S. Embassy Port of Spain has been advised of the cancellation of today’s JetBlue flight from Port of Spain to John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) due to the severe winter storm in the United States. We urge U.S. citizens (and U.S. Legal Permanent Residents) wishing to travel to the United States to visit the airline’s website – www.jetblue.com. Individuals may opt to call JetBlue’s reservation line but should expect long wait times.

The U.S. Embassy cannot book tickets or hotel reservations on behalf of a passenger. Baggage and pet arrangements must be coordinated directly with the airline when purchasing tickets. Onward travel options are the responsibility of the traveler and should be made as soon as possible with available commercial airlines operating out of JFK airport.

Travelers are reminded that you must have valid travel documents to board this flight. Please check that you have a valid U.S. passport or valid foreign passport and U.S. Legal Permanent Resident card (green card). If you need assistance with emergency documentation please email the embassy immediately at ACSPOS@state.gov.

Note that if you are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, coughing, sneezing or shortness of breath you will not be allowed to board the flight. Please do not come to the airport if you have any of these symptoms.

Please do *not* contact the U.S. Embassy to make a flight reservation.

Please continue to monitor the U.S. Embassy website and U.S. Embassy Port of Spain COVID-19 Information page for updated information.
