Visiting CAPSTONE generals with U.S. Embassy Chargé d'Affaires John McIntyre and U.S. Embassy Chief Military Liaison Officer Col. Claudia Carrizales during a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley.

Port of Spain May 8, 2019:  Seventeen recently promoted Brigadier Generals and Rear Admirals serving in the U.S. Military today paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley at the Diplomatic Center, St. Ann’s as part of a CAPSTONE visit.

The team, together with U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires John McIntyre and U.S. Embassy Chief Military Liaison Officer Col. Claudia Carrizales, also met with Minister of National Security Stuart Young and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dennis Moses.

CAPSTONE is a joint service professional military education course at the National Defense University. The three-day visit to Trinidad and Tobago is part of the overseas field study portion of the course, which helps to broaden the global perspective of each general.  Trinidad and Tobago hosted previous CAPSTONE visits in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

The team also met with the leadership of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.
