More Canines for the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) Mounted and Canine Branch received five canines from the U.S. Embassy as part of our continuing support for the security of the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago under the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI).

Chargé d’Affaires John W. McIntyre and Senior Superintendent Patsy Joseph, Head of the TTPS Mounted and Canine Branch, marked the arrival of the new canines in Arima, and signed a document acknowledging the handover.

The canines—together with their TTPS handlers—are trained in narcotics, firearms and explosives detection.
