NBA professional and LA Lakers shooting guard Avery Bradley, and four coaches from his Skills Academy, conducted a five day basketball clinic in Port of Spain and Chaguanas July 22-26 as part of the Embassy’s Sports Diplomacy program, where we engage with youth to encourage them to focus on positive activities and stay away from crime and violence. The student athletes were selected from the Trinidad and Tobago Basketball Federation and Embassy partners in underserved communities. Ambassador Joseph Mondello visited the camp at the International School of Port of Spain, where he lauded the coaches and the student athletes’ talent, assuring them of his support.
