June 07, 2020

Location: Trinidad and Tobago

U.S. Embassy Port of Spain advises that Seaborne Airlines/Silver Airways is marketing two charter flights departing from Trinidad and Tobago for San Juan, Puerto Rico on Wednesday, June 10 and Thursday, June 11, 2020. Seaborne/Silver plans to offer same-day connecting service to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and other airlines offer connecting service to other U.S. destinations from San Juan. We urge those wishing to travel to the United States to contact the airline directly by calling them at +1 (801) 401-9103 in order to book a seat.

Operators will be available to take reservations beginning Sunday, June 7 at 9 a.m. These flights will not appear on the Seaborne Airlines/Silver Airways website and must be booked by contacting the airline by phone. Note that callers may experience longer wait times. Those wishing to travel who may have been on a waiting list with the airline are urged to call the airline again to book a seat.

The flight is estimated to depart from Port of Spain at 10:30 a.m., arrive in San Juan at around 1:45 p.m., and arrive in Ft. Lauderdale at 8:25 p.m., but flight times are subject to change. All passengers, including those booked with Seaborne/Silver through to Ft. Lauderdale, must disembark and clear U.S. customs and immigration in San Juan. Passengers with onward flight arrangements should observe social distancing in Puerto Rico. If unable to make a connecting flight the same day, passengers should make advance hotel arrangements in San Juan. The U.S. Embassy cannot book tickets or hotel reservations on behalf of a passenger. Baggage and pet arrangements must be coordinated directly with the airline when purchasing tickets.

At this time, there are no additional U.S.- bound flights scheduled, and commercial air service to the United States remains suspended indefinitely. U.S. citizens who choose not to take these flights should be prepared to remain in Trinidad and Tobago until commercial air travel resumes.

Please do *not* contact the U.S. Embassy to make a flight reservation.
